“OMG! How lucky to have this experience in our own backyard. Spectacular scenery and generous camp spots. Sites are great for small or large groups and so spread out you forget anyone else is there. The information folder and property is excellent. Owners are down to earth and very welcoming ( Thankyou for sharing your property with us). We enjoyed the night out at the Tavern for pizzas which were delicious. I genuinely look forward to heading back there again.”

Meet Kellie & Peter

Before Mount Little Station, our lives looked quite different.

Our backgrounds combined years in teaching and school leadership with a lifetime of practical experience in sheep farming and pastoral life.

In 2018, we made one of the biggest decisions of our lives and moved to the Flinders Ranges to take on Mount Little Station.

At the time, Mount Little was first and foremost a traditional working pastoral property. Visitor accommodation was limited to a small number of informal campsites and a guesthouse that had seen better days.

But we could see what this place could become.

We wanted more people to experience the landscape, station life and sense of space that made us fall in love with Mount Little.

So began our own outback adventure.

“Our backyard is something special, and we are excited to share it with guests from around the world and create a memorable yet relaxing outback experience.”

Our Story Since 2018

We have restored historic accommodation, created new places to stay and opened walking and self-drive tracks for visitors from across Australia and beyond.

Through it all, Mount Little remains a working station and our home. Sheep and cattle, native wildlife and the changing seasons still shape everyday life. Welcoming guests is another chapter in that story.

A Taste of Station Life

A stay here is about simple pleasures and genuine outback hospitality. We share local knowledge to help you find the walks, tracks and experiences that suit you.

Spend the day exploring, discovering station history or watching the wildlife. Later, join us for pizza, catch the sunset or settle beside the campfire beneath the stars.

Do as much or as little as you like. The best moments are often the simplest.

The People Behind Your Stay

We live on the station year-round, alongside long-term team members John and Monica. Extra station and hospitality crew join us during the busier months.

From caring for livestock and maintaining the property to preparing pizzas and helping you plan your next adventure, everyone lends a hand.

It is a small team with a personal welcome. When you arrive, you are being welcomed into our backyard.
