Mount Little Station welcomes visitors of all ages, abilities, backgrounds, cultures, identities, orientations and beliefs.
We understand that accessibility needs are different for every guest and are not always visible. Our team is happy to answer questions, discuss your individual requirements and help you choose the accommodation or experience that may suit you best.
Mount Little is a 24,000 acre working sheep station with historic buildings, natural terrain, unsealed roads and remote areas. While this creates some access limitations, we will provide clear and honest information so you can plan your visit with confidence.

Although not every accommodation option or area of the station is accessible to every guest, we will do what we reasonably can to make your visit comfortable and enjoyable.
Wheelchair Accessible Accommodation
Mount Little Station has one accommodation property that is fully wheelchair accessible.
As individual requirements vary, please contact us before booking so we can explain the accommodation layout, bathroom facilities and surrounding areas and help you determine whether it will meet your needs.
Other accommodation options are located within historic buildings or natural station settings and may have steps, uneven surfaces or bathrooms that have not been designed for wheelchair access.
Arrival and Parking
Guests check in at the Mount Little Station Check-in and Information Centre.
Parking is available immediately beside the check-in area and the entrance is step-free. A bell is available on arrival, and our team can assist with check-in, directions and luggage.
There are no designated accessible parking bays. However, guests can be dropped off close to the entrance, accommodation and other facilities where conditions allow.
Parking near accommodation is generally on compacted earth, gravel or other natural surfaces. Please let us know if you need to park as close as possible to your accommodation.
Getting Around the Station
Mount Little Station is a large rural property with unsealed roads, station tracks, creek beds, gravel, rocks, slopes and other uneven surfaces.
Some accommodation areas, campsites, walking trails, lookouts, gorges and station experiences may not be suitable for wheelchairs or guests with limited mobility. Conditions can also change following rain or other weather events.
Depending on your needs and current conditions, we may be able to suggest:
- Scenic locations that can be reached by vehicle
- Shorter or less demanding walks
- Places to enjoy the landscape without walking long distances
- Suitable station activities and experiences
- Quiet accommodation or camping areas
- Alternative ways to participate in group activities

Communication and Visitor Information
Our team uses plain English and can provide important information in writing when requested.
Large-print information, maps and other communication aids can also be made available. Please let us know if you prefer written communication, need additional time or have another communication requirement.
Mobile reception is limited across parts of the station, so we recommend discussing any important communication needs before arrival.
Sensory Considerations
As a working sheep station, Mount Little can include livestock, working dogs, wildlife, farm vehicles, machinery, dust, animal sounds, unfamiliar smells and campfire smoke.
The station also offers expansive outdoor spaces and quiet accommodation and camping areas away from busier communal facilities.
Guests with sensory sensitivities, autism, anxiety or other non-visible access requirements are welcome to contact us before booking. We can explain what to expect, discuss quieter locations and advise when station activities may create additional noise or activity.
Dietary Requirements
Please tell us about any dietary requirements, food allergies or intolerances when arranging catering, hampers or station dining experiences.
We can cater for a range of requirements, including gluten-free, dairy-free, nut-free, vegetarian and vegan options. Advance notice helps our team prepare appropriately.
Assistance Animals
Assistance animals are welcome in accommodation and throughout Mount Little Station.
As this is a working sheep station where livestock and wildlife roam freely, please contact us before arrival so we can help you plan for your assistance animal’s comfort and safety.
Shade, water, bowls, bedding and an appropriate toileting area can be provided for assistance animals.

Sustainability is an ongoing commitment. We will continue improving the way we manage the land, water, energy, waste and visitor experiences as resources and opportunities allow.
Small, practical changes matter, particularly when they become part of how a place is cared for every day.
